Bournemouth are still in the hunt for a surprise Champions League berth come the end of the season but have taken their foot off the gas in recent weeks. They have failed to win any of their last four Premier League matches and will be desperate to get back on track at home to the struggling Tractor Boys.

Ipswich’s hopes of survival are looking increasingly slim as they’re cut further adrift from safety. They haven’t won in the Premier League since the turn of the year and confidence is at an all-time low amongst Kieran McKenna’s scrappers. Earning points at the Vitality Stadium is crucial ahead of their weekend clash with 17th-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Here is 90min’s guide to the clash on the south coast.

Bournemouth were without the influential Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez for the weekend defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup. The duo will return to the starting lineup on Wednesday evening following their international excursions.

Adam Smith and Marcos Senesi both made their comebacks from injury at the weekend but Julian Araujo is still missing in the backline.

Enes Unal will miss the remainder of the season and is joined on the sidelines by fellow forwards Luis Sinisterra and Marcus Tavernier.

Bournemouth predicted lineup vs Ipswich (4-2-3-1): Kepa; Cook, Zabarnyi, Huijsen, Kerkez; Christie, Adams; Brooks, Kluivert, Semenyo; Evanilson.

Ipswich continue to struggle with injuries in their forward line and they will be without Wes Burns, Sammie Szmodics and Chiedozie Ogbene on Wednesday evening. Conor Chaplin is also likely to miss out through a knee injury.

Axel Tuanzebe is still sidelined after suffering a hamstring injury in the fifth round of the FA Cup but McKenna should have the remainder of his defensive cohort available to him in Ipswich’s first outing since the international break.

Ipswich predicted lineup vs Bournemouth (4-2-3-1): Palmer; O’Shea, Woolfenden, Greaves, Davis; Phillips, Cajuste; Philogene, Enciso, Hutchinson; Delap.

Bournemouth will head into Wednesday’s duel as favourites but their recent form is extremely underwhelming. There will also be tired legs within their camp midweek following Sunday’s gruelling FA Cup clash.

Ipswich could take advantage despite being in disappointing form themselves, stealing a point on the south coast against a Bournemouth side who have lost their last three Premier League games on home soil.

Prediction: Bournemouth 1-1 Ipswich
