A new report from Insider Gaming, citing documents from an unnamed “large U.S. retailer,” says pre-orders for Switch 2 will open a week later, on April 9.
Nintendo itself hasn’t announced when pre-orders for Switch 2 will go live, so it’s unclear if the company will start taking pre-orders the same day it holds its Nintendo Direct: Switch 2 showcase (April 2), or if it will give us another week to consider the next-gen system’s merits. viraltrendingcontent has reached out to Nintendo for comment and will update when the company responds.
While Nintendo hasn’t announced a release date or price for its new system, Switch 2 is expected to launch in early June, meaning that pre-orders would likely be open for about two months.
