Undetectable AI vs. NoteGPT: This Isn’t Even Fair

There’s not much I fear as a student, but getting falsely accused of cheating is up there. With AI tools on the rise, teachers have been hyper-vigilant of cheating — and rightfully so. The only problem is, AI detectors aren’t exactly as accurate as we need them to be.

Many students have experienced accusations of cheating firsthand because an AI detector deemed their work to be AI-generated.

So, what can we do to fight back?

AI humanizers are a quick way of protecting yourself from false positive AI detection. The thing is, many entrepreneurs recognized this too, so there’s so much out there that you can’t distinguish which ones are worth your money and time without testing.

That’s why I’m doing the tests for you: this is Undetectable AI vs. NoteGPT. Let’s get into it.

What is Undetectable AI?

Undetectable AI is an AI humanizer platform that rewrites or paraphrases text so that it can be invisible to AI detection tools. With their output customization features, you can also make sure that Undetectable AI’s outputs is in line with the original text’s use case and readability level.

You can read our full review of Undetectable AI here. We’ve also written articles on how to use Undetectable AI ethically, and tested it against other AI humanizers and detectors.

What is NoteGPT?

Keeping up with all your online content can sometimes be exhausting. Between YouTube videos, online courses, and those endless Zoom meetings, who has time to actually process all that information? That’s where NoteGPT steps in. It’s an AI summarizer and content generator that transforms hours of content into bite-sized, actionable notes.

But it’s more than a summarizing platform, it actually understands what you’re trying to learn. Mind map to connect concepts, personalized tutor, tedious transcription tasks — it has every tool you’ll ever need as a student.

And by everything, I do mean everything — and that includes an AI humanizer, which we’ll be focusing on today.

Undetectable AI vs. NoteGPT: Features

Like I mentioned, Undetectable AI has all the features that often come with AI humanizers, including output customization, balance level adjustment, and free retries if the output gets flagged as AI-generated.

NoteGPT’s humanizer has none of those. In fact, it doesn’t have any features at all. The only thing that NoteGPT has above Undetectable AI for now is the fact that it’s completely free.

Undetectable AI vs. NoteGPT: Output Readability

Disbelief has been a quiet yet profound teacher in my life. Growing up, I was taught to accept things as they were told—truths passed down, rules unchallenged. But as I faced moments of doubt, I realized disbelief wasn’t cynicism; it was curiosity in disguise. It pushed me to question, to seek clarity, and to carve my own understanding of the world. Disbelief saved me from blind faith and opened doors to critical thinking. It’s not about rejecting ideas outright but examining them deeply. In disbelief, I found the courage to challenge norms and embrace a life of thoughtful exploration.

I believe that disbelief has been a quiet but very effective tutor during my lifetime. I was raised to accept things as they are, to believe what others said and what was considered normal. But as I faced moments of doubt, I came to understand that disbelief wasn’t similar to cynicism; it was a form of curiosity. This made me to want to question, to get the truth and to give an account of my experience. Disbelief saved me from submitting to blind faith and provided a way to the application of the critical approach. It does not mean the refusal of concepts but rather the study of them in great detail. Disbelief, I became audacious to steer the course of thinking and live a purposeful life.

Not accepting everything I was told has been an important lesson throughout my life. As a child, I learned to go along with what was told to me—truths handed down and rules that went unquestioned. But when doubts began to creep in, I realized that not believing wasn’t about being negative; it was about being curious. This curiosity encouraged me to ask questions, seek clear answers, and create my own understanding of the world around me. By not blindly accepting everything, I learned to think critically. It wasn’t about immediately rejecting ideas but about examining them thoroughly. Through healthy skepticism, I found the courage to challenge traditional ways of thinking and embrace a life of thoughtful exploration and discovery.

Looking at these two paraphrased versions of an essay about disbelief, we can see how AI humanizers interpret and rewrite content differently.

Undetectable AI shows significant grammar issues right from the start. It contains awkward phrasing like “made me to want to question” and “give an account of my experience.” The final sentence completely falls apart with “Disbelief, I became audacious to steer the course of thinking.” There’s a clear disconnect in sentence flow and logical progression.

NoteGPT maintains better grammatical structure and readability. However, it takes a lot of liberties with the original message by replacing “disbelief” with phrases like “not accepting everything” and “healthy skepticism.” While technically correct, this shifts the original essay’s focus and tone. It also adds content not present in the original, like “and discovery” at the end.

On spelling, neither essay contains obvious typos. Just to recap: Undetectable AI attempts to follow the same structure but mangles key phrases. Whereas NoteGPT follows the general flow but expands significantly, making it longer than the original and somewhat changing the message entirely.

The Bottom Line

I know that as a writer, I’m supposed to solidly articulate the performance of these tools after testing them. But after using NoteGPT, I’m truly struggling to find a more appropriate analysis other than a simple (but hopefully, effective) yikes.

Here’s the bottom line: if you’re not consistent enough to bypass AI detection, you’re just a paraphrasing tool. And in that case, you better be a good one. From what I’ve seen, NoteGPT’s humanizer isn’t even a good enough paraphrasing tool, especially since its output loses the original meaning.

Undetectable AI, as always, performed really well, especially at avoiding AI detection. Grammar errors are still there, but at this point, I’m content with using our own guidelines to quickly edit their output and make them readable.
