Indie team Geometric Interactive made an impressive debut in 2023 with COCOON, one of the year’s best games, and news about the team’s next title is beginning to emerge. No, it hasn’t been announced, but at the recent Annapurna Interactive Showcase 2025, we did get the first, very brief details about the project.
Annapurna Interactive, which published COCOON, will also serve as Geometric Interactive’s second game, the two announced at the showcase. No specific details on the title were revealed, but Geometric’s audio director and composer Jakob Schmid says it will be “unlike anything we’ve ever worked on before.”
Prior to COCOON, members of Geometric Interactive’s development team were part of Playdead, where they worked on Limbo and Inside. That the team’s next title is going to be entirely different from each of those games doesn’t tell us much, but that track record does earn some trust, at least. Hopefully, it won’t be too long before more details are shared. Stay tuned until then.
