According to the Kherson regional police telegram channel, 11 people, including three children, were injured in the past 24 hours as a result of attacks by the Russian troops in the Kherson region.

11 people were injured in the last day as a result of Russian attacks in the Kherson region.

Three children were among the injured, according to the Kherson regional police telegram channel.

Moscow’s forces attacked the area with artillery, mortars and multiple launch rocket systems. The Russian military also used drones to drop explosives on targets.

Residential, administrative and educational buildings were damaged along with critical infrastructure, according to the regional authorities.

Russians continued shelling throughout Monday, with residential areas of the Korabelnzi district in Kherson coming under fire. Houses, outbuildings and cars were damaged.

A 44-year-old man was wounded during the shelling of Kizomys in Kherson, and a 63-year-old woman was admitted to hospital after being wounded, according to the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

A 16-year-old boy who was wounded by shelling of Komyshany is in serious condition, according to Oleksander Tolokonnikov, head of the regional military administration’s press office.

Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelenskyy visited a special forces base in the Kharkiv region also on Monday.

Zelenskyy met with the forward command post of the Special Operations Forces and handed out state awards.

“I want to thank you for your heroic operations both behind enemy lines and during the defence and de-occupation of our territories, cities and villages, starting with the defence of DAP (Donetsk Airport) in 2014, then Gostomel, Kherson Region and the operation in Kharkiv Region,” Zelenskyy told soldiers at the base.

The situation in the nation remains dire following Russia’s invasion, but Ukraine is pushing back.

They reportedly hit a military airfield about 1,800km into the Russian border and damaged a Tu-22M3 bomber, according to Ukraine’s military intelligence spokesperson Andrii Yusov.

Berlin also handed over eight tanks, 21,000 rounds of ammunition for anti-aircraft guns and other aid in its latest delivery to Ukraine, the German government said on Monday.

The USA also announced additional security assistance to Ukraine valued at up to $200 million, including air defence interceptors, ammunition and anti-tank weapons.
